I love to dunk on Bryan Johnson, and the erotica is bad and embarrassing as anyone’s online erotica is. But I actually think they’re probably having great sex, and his understanding of anatomy and physiology probably contributes to it.
How many women know their uterus tents, bringing the cervix upward with arousal? How many women know where their vestibular bulbs are, let alone what they are or what they do?
Do you know the differencr beteeen vulvar arousal and full engorgement? And that it takes 40 minutes minimum for a woman’s vulva and uterus to become fully engorged? Or the safety and nervous system states necessary to make it possible?
How many men know this, and has the patience to let a woman’s sexual physiology reach full expression?
Yes, it’s cringe erotica, most is (outside of very skilled writers). But it was fully about her physiology, not the benefits of sex on longevity.
Great ep as always! re: Jessica’s last comment about The Shock Doctrine - I started it last year and had to put it down for a bit bc it was simply too depressing. Excellently written and researched of course but it really lays bare a lot of the cold calculation that went into the world we know today. Learning about the South African economic restructuring and how it was crafted so that the new government had (has) to pay for apartheid-era pensions was bleak. I definitely recommend it but beware!
Your righteous indignation and screaming into the void about The Beauty is EXACTLY what I need for these types of shows. Consider an entire podcast where you yell about beauty standards in TV shows—I need this for Love is Blind FOR SURE. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Such a rad, informative and entertaining episode as always! Speaking of the male gaze and because I love hearing you both go on brilliant rants together, let us #neverforget that time James Franco redid Cindy Sherman’s “untitled film stills.” Really contributing to the discourse there, Jimmy.
Also Bryan Johnson is the subject of my next long form piece and “vestibular bulbs” SENT ME. Please do live the Blueprint way and report back. I’m not brave or disciplined enough to do it but would LOVE to know.

Idk, it seemed earnest.
Thanks for this perspective! You listed truly suppressed/not widely circulated (at least for gen pop) info.
Also ty for the segment on the male gaze, very annoying how most online don’t really get what it is, so claim it doesn’t affect them.
