The way advertising links these big companies so directly to beauty journalism and drives traffic to their sites feels especially insidious.

I want a good rallying slogan to protest all the consumerist capitalist BS that worms its way into feminist and LGBT activism! Buying a Pride-themed eyeshadow pallet might be fun but it isn't going to help give LGBT folk their rights! I'm not good at coming up with catchy phrasing though... "The revolution will not be merchandised"? 😂 Needs some workshopping.

Really annoying to hear about CVS. That’s where my health insurance prefers I get prescriptions.
