Similarly, I dislike when people use the word “old” to mean anything other than a statement of one’s age- ie biologically closer to deaths than teenager-hood. “Old” should NOT mean boring, close-minded, incapable or any other negative connotation. To me, saying I’m old should not tell you more about me, my personality, interests, capabilities, mental curiosity, etc than my eye color. Old is a biological fact not a personality trait.
I’ve started using “dusty” instead of saying something is old or tired🤣 (ex.: “misogyny is so dusty”) I def picked this up from the youth, and maybe it’s not really divorced from anti-human-aging concepts but hopefully it’s a little better
