This is SOOOO important and spot on! I was a teen in the age of Kate Moss, skinny is everything culture... it led me to be bulimic at the age of 10. I just happily turned 43 and it disgusts me the same toxic diet culture is the same toxic beauty culture! We deserve to live! We can't be lifeless. Thanks for always shining a light Jess!

The diet/beauty parallels are everywhere once you start seeing them!

I'd be very curious to hear your thoughts on this: https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2022/05/femcel-meaning-female-incel-reddit/629836/

As someone who definitely would have IDed as a femcel in high school, and thinking more about how appearance seems inescapable.

I saw this earlier today! Will include it in my next Don’t Buy List...

Welp, Jess, I wrote next week's post last week as I'd be traveling, and it's also about Generation Ageless. I love your take on this, of course, though I've looked at it from a different angle—a gentler one, which makes me very glad you're out there waving the scythe. xo

Ha! I like to think my angle is very gentle... on actual, real life people. I have no mercy for the industry though ;)

You're right, gentle AND exhortative! xo
