If a man brags about preferring it, I will always pounce on that. I am a CSA advocate and have much to say regarding the sexualization and fetishizing prepubescent bodies. This isn’t always the case, consciously or subconsciously, but the normalization of it has silenced an important conversation and opportunity for (self-)reflection regarding the (male) gaze.
Omg Jessica, you tricked us! Am I the only one who was like "Wow, Jessica is endorsing some skincare products, I can't wait to see!!" It really goes to show, even though I think I'm pretty much immune to this stuff, I'm not ...
I clicked on it just to see why you’d need 17 products in the first place? 😅
What I hate most about these articles is that they always rave about products they’ve been using for less than a week. Show me a routine that’s been tested over a decade by 1459 women, with results compared to a control group. THEN I’ll be impressed.
Also, all headlines that contain a variation of “I’m an editor and that’s what I swear by” are such a trigger for me. Who cares? Just... who cares?
Not going to lie: I still click on those articles with baited breath and a glimmer of hope in my heart even though I know better. When my partner found out I was using tretinoin for anti-aging ,he said, “Why? What for? That sh*t doesn’t work! All that sh*t is a bunch of sh*t!”.
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️ I fuckin hate this industry so hard.
I don’t want to dress 10 years younger.
I don’t want to look ten years younger.
I love my furry crotch.
Burn it all down.
Actual lol @ “I love my furry crotch.” Yes!!
If a woman wants to shave it- cool! You do you!

Lollll right? I still click too, the conditioning runs deep!
Wait, but what about all the scientific studies so many products use to, um, verify their claims?
That's in the next newsletter, actually!!

Ha! Subject lines that ACTUALLY WORK! You got me Jessica!🤣🥰
Haha old habits die hard!

Many sh*ts were given that day.
Thank you, Jess for what you do!
Dammit, foiled again!!
I click on them just to laugh at how much people are willing to pay for things that either do nothing or are actively harmful.
I love this post.
