It's impossible for me to read that and not think of the recent Bumble anti-celibacy campaign or the spate of pro-marriage articles urging women (in so many words) to step up and save men and society. Come on girls, $68 is a small price to pay to save civilization!

Hmm… these plump, pink, glossy lips seem suggestive of a pair beneath the belly button. And I appreciate the study on women desiring to be the desired object (having had that experience as part of my own adolescent awakening). It seems that’s the point if these are coded vaginal lips. Tinx’s rich text! Neither a smidge—nor a smudge—over-analyzed.

When I got the email that this article came out, I was on the couch next to my partner. I read him the title, and he said “I want to make out with someone!” so we did. No lip gloss required ☺️

What's hilarious to me about this is that my boyfriend doesn't like kissing me when I've got lip gloss or lipstick on. He hates the feel of it and doesn't like having to wipe it off himself. So the idea of putting on lipstick or lip gloss to make-out in feels like a non-starter to me. Has anyone asked the people on the receiving end of these make-upped make-out sessions if they like being in that position? I don't know how I'd feel about it if the situation were reversed.

Great article as always.

As a writer, I'm immediately struck by her repeating "make" three times in a relatively short sentence. It feels lazy and not well thought out. Like it needed a few more passes. Instead:

"I wanted to create a lip color that makes you want to kiss someone." OR

"I wanted to formulate a lip color that compels you to smooch someone".

Don't those flow way better?

Had no idea Tinx was still doing *this*

The only product that makes me want to makeout MORE is lip balm. Amma kiss without it. It just also aids in extending the makeout session. I've never kissed with pigmented lip products. Seems messy.

On this season of Love Island UK, a new girl came into the villa and kissed each boy while they were blindfolded. In the scene right after, you see all the boys reacting to her lip gloss saying their lips felt spicy or tingly. Interesting, because she chose to wear (presumably) lip-plumping gloss, but they couldn’t even see her lips… I would like to think that the kisses would have been more pleasurable if they hadn’t left a tingling or burning sensation but maybe I’m wrong! (Also huge caveat that Love Island UK is an absurd show!)
