I was just starting to wonder when we’d get the next episode! Yay! Loving it so far.
Ok i just read this in the Skimm and immediately thought I need a Jessica take on it: pleaaaaseee can you talk about what is going on with Chipotle and Wonderskin’s lipstain collab?!
On the topic of “biological age” usually scientists are talking about the length of telomeres, which protect strands of dna and naturally shorten with time (to the point of age being based on genetics). As the telomeres shorten your dna is more prone to disruptions and mutations like cancer. That’s why in the conversations of Covid some scientists would talk about the virus aging people, meaning Covid is good at attacking telomeres which speeds up the window of time when you become more susceptible to these diseases we associate with advanced chronological age. Thought the conversation about aging and the motivations/implications for living longer was a really interesting part of the podcast!
Hi, I’m a relatively new supporter and trying to poke around the app but— is there a transcript of the podcast I can read?
hey! in the article, there should be a transcript button on the righthand side underneath jess's byline. hope that helps and thanks for listening!
